As part of April’s First Friday festivities, Stacii Adams will perform at Allen’s Market on April 6, 2018 at 7:30 PM. The Boss of Blues presents a classic blues sound with a modern twist.
Adams, a Milledgeville native, was raised on blues and R&B. His father was a professional singer and drummer for several bands in the 70s and 80s. After attending Albany State University to play basketball and majoring in Behavioral Science, Stacii followed in his father’s footsteps and began his music career. His baritone voice and high-energy performances have captivated audiences all over the country.
Adam’s goal is to bring blues music back into the mainstream: “I make Southern soul and blues music with a twist. It’s a new sound but I build my musical foundation on the greats, the legends. You got to show respect to the late blues and southern soul singers that made this music what it is” says Adams. Besides covering the classic blues songs, Stacii writes his own music. His latest single, “Heat Phone,” is a sultry mid-tempo ballad that reimagines the classic blues swing with a modern style. Adams plans to release new songs and videos later this year, and recently finished filming a music video in Allen’s Market.
First Friday with Stacii Adams is a free community event, but donations are welcome. Doors will open at 7:00 PM for the 7:30 show. Call Allied Arts at (478) 452 – 3950 with any questions. Allen’s Market is located at 101 E. McIntosh Street on the corner of McIntosh and Wayne.
